My
photographs, taken in April 2002, have been grouped roughly into
zones. For instance, if you want a boiler room picture, it's likely
to be in Zone 1, or an external front shot in Zone 2
etc. This method is probably not 100% accurate, but it'll start
you off on your quest. And before you go "Whoa - 163 images!"
let me remind you that there'll be even more joining them here
soon from November 2002's Stage Two of Conquest 2002 (which
will feature shots of many under-represented areas, such as the
external perimeter - so watch this space!). In the meantime, while
we've all but given up hope for the site's eternal survival, join
my in taking one last look at what remained of the CRCMH before
the madness of 2004 began. |
QUICK GUIDE
What you can expect to find in each section of STAGE ONE:
Zone
1: The northern walkway and huts, Boiler Room
area.
Zone 2: The
main facade, staff block, sentry box, grounds.
Zone 3: Operating
theatres, X-Ray Dept, Yellow Corridor, Miscellaneous.
Zone 4: Flincher
Zone, Southern Main & Eastern Corridor, Maternity Dept.
Zone 5: Mid-Main
Corridor, Western Wards.
As you will no
doubt notice, not all areas of the CRCMH are covered in this series.
One of the main objectives of Conquest 2002 is to capture more
of the less documented places and sights within the buildings. Many
people have requested footage of particular rooms included here, such
as operating theatres, or the Yellow Corridor. However, further zones
will soon be added, including more familiar territory, and indeed
the existing zones will surely be added to as well in the near future.
Another quick note is that you will observe the severe lack of thumbnail
pictures within the Conquest 2002 archive. Access to the images here
is instead gained by clicking the 'VIEW' lettering next to the desired
photo. The primary reason for this is that thumbnails will only grind
your browser to a halt and eat into your download limit. So, if you're
after thumbnails - visit a badly constructed porn site. If you want
decent pictures of the CRCMH - simply delve into Ray Hurley-Castle's
Conquest 2002 Archive.
Enjoy!
